TOURS & VISITOR TIPS.

Guided tours are the best way to immerse yourself in the story of W.E.B. Du Bois and the enduring legacy of Pan-Africanism. These tours are affordable, insightful, and highly recommended for gaining a deeper understanding of the museum, library, and mausoleum. For a more relaxed experience, consider visiting on weekday mornings when the galleries and grounds are quieter. As you explore, take time to pause in the amphitheatre and gardens — spaces designed for reflection on Du Bois’s powerful words and vision.

FACILITIES & ACCESSABILITIES

Seminar Facilities & Open-Air Theatre

The Centre’s seminar hall and open-air theatre provide dynamic spaces for learning and cultural exchange. The seminar hall regularly hosts academic lectures, workshops, and symposia, welcoming scholars, students, and cultural leaders from across the globe. The open-air theatre, set within the tranquil gardens, is used for live performances, film screenings, community dialogues, and special events — blending intellectual engagement with vibrant cultural expression.

Marcus Garvey Guest House

Named in honor of fellow Pan-Africanist Marcus Garvey, the guest house offers comfortable accommodations for visiting researchers, scholars, and cultural explorers. The adjoining library houses rare books, Pan-African studies, and personal works collected by Du Bois himself, creating an inspiring environment for study and reflection. Guests benefit from both research access and proximity to the Centre’s rich cultural programming.

Souvenir Shop & Craft Market

Located on the Centre’s grounds, the craft market and souvenir shop showcase the creativity of local artisans. Visitors can browse handmade jewelry, textiles, artwork, and traditional crafts — each item reflecting Ghana’s vibrant cultural heritage.
