CONNECTION & SPACES




DU BOIS PERSONAL LIBRARY.
The library holds a unique archive of Dr. Du Bois’s intellectual life, including 21 books authored by him such as The Souls of Black Folk, Black Reconstruction in America, and Dark Princess. Surrounding these are more than 1,300 collected volumes spanning themes of race and politics, African and world history, sociology, poetry, biographies, science, music, and rare journals like Freedomways.
MUSEUM ROOMS.
The Du Bois Bedroom is carefully preserved, showcasing his academic gowns, honorary regalia, and gifts from institutions around the world. Nearby, the Shirley Graham Du Bois Bedroom serves as a tribute to his wife and fellow activist, featuring her personal collection of books, manuscripts, and treasured family photo albums.

HERITAGE IN UNITY
Pan-Africanism is the global movement for unity, liberation, and empowerment of African peoples across the world. The Centre preserves artifacts, publications, and visual histories that capture the ideals and progress of this movement.
PROGRAMS & RESEARCH.
Lectures
Public lectures are held throughout the year, with a highlight being the annual Du Bois-Padmore-Nkrumah Pan-African Lectures in August.
Artists, intellectuals, and cultural experts share insights with open audiences, encouraging dialogue and collaboration.
Film & Video-Talks
Significant films and documentaries are screened, followed by expert-led discussions.
Schools Outreach
The Centre nurtures youth consciousness through lectures in schools, symposia, and the establishment of Pan-African Clubs.
